Nestled in the scenic Borough of Waverley, Bramley is a charming parish surrounded by the stunning countryside of Surrey's Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With an area of around 10 square miles, this idyllic village is home to a population of approximately 4,778  people

Located just 3 miles south of Guildford on the A281, Bramley is easy to access yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The village has a rich heritage, evident in the variety of fascinating buildings and features preserved in its conservation area.

Bramley's lively High Street is a hub of activity, offering a range of amenities including a 2 public houses, butcher, library, and a diverse selection of eateries, barbers, and beauty salons.

Whether you're looking for a relaxing day out in the countryside or a vibrant community to call home, Bramley has something to offer for everyone.

BRAMLEY UPDATE November 2025

News from Bramley and Grafham brought to you by Bramley Parish Council

Bramley Bonfire

Once again the Bramley Bonfire was a huge success. Thank you to everyone involved for a fantastic event.  Although haunted by torrential rain for the days and hours before the event when it really mattered conditions were mild and dry leading to a brilliantly large turn-out.

As always the focus of the night is to make sure Bramley residents have a great firework display and bonfire to celebrate Guy Fawkes night and reduce the number of back-garden fires and displays.

The Bramley Bonfire has been running for over fifty years now and is entirely organised and run by volunteers. The Bonfire committee would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all those who step-up and ensure the night happens safely and successfully.

Being involved on the night or as part of the organising team is a joy and we would love to welcome more people into the team. Whether you are established in the village for a long while, or moved here recently, the bonfire team is a great way to get involved with the village and meet lots of fantastic people.

Eastwood Road Playground

Bramley Parish Council are pleased to announce the reopening of the Eastwood Road playground which from now on the will be known as the Bramley Train Park

After many unavoidable delays we have now completed the final work and undertaken a safety inspection report to allow us to open it to the public.

Bramley Parish Council is planning further enhancements in the coming weeks including the re-siting of the waste bin, the refurbishment of the existing climbing frame and the addition of bike racks. Please bear with us while we undertake this work.

Phase 2 of the work will cover the football pitch and goals, expected completion date in Spring 2026.

This project has been jointly funded by the Asda Community Fund, Bramley Parish Council's Community Infrastructure Levy pot plus a grant from Your Fund Surrey. We are very grateful for the funding to expedite this project which otherwise may have taken many years to fundraise for.

We also give all our thanks to the Eastwood Road Playground Committee - the project has been entirely managed by community volunteers, and we are very grateful for their commitment and hard work.

We hope the children enjoy the new play space.
